The Indy A Cappella Festival is coming back to the city of Indianapolis. We are thrilled that you are interested in this jammed-packed festival. There are so many exciting educational opportunities for our a cappella groups out there and we are humbled to receive your consideration. Below is some information to help you plan your participation.

 

WHEN

The FESTIVAL is scheduled for January 17-18, 2025 and is divided into three sections. Each section is provided “a la carte” at registration.

  • Friday Night Academic Showcase - Tickets $15 each

    • 6-8 groups will be selected by video audition to perform on our main stage

    • Our headliner clinician, the godfather of a cappella, Deke Sharon will be our emcee for the night.

  • Saturday Festival - $325 registration fee per group

    • Runs from roughly 9a-5:30p

    • All registered groups will receive a one-on-one coaching session with one of our guest clinicians. We call these experiences CLINICS.

    • OPTIONAL UPGRADE: book a second clinic for $275 extra

    • There will be a number of educational presentations that are open for any interested registrants. We call these MASTERCLASSES.

    • PERFORMANCE stage:

      • Main stage - We have one of the biggest and best auditoriums in Indiana, with lights and 18 wireless handheld microphones. The Warren Performing Arts Center will showcase your group incredibly. 

      • Participation on the stage will be determined by video audition (see below).

    • Concessions all day

    • Lunch options on site

    • Catered dinner available ($15 each) - must book during main registration

      • A catered meal, designed for your students, with plenty of dietary needs considered. 

  • Saturday Headline Concert - Tickets $25 each

    • Warren Central’s own 16th Street Soul will open the night

    • The always-entertaining and more fun than you can imagine, Six Appeal will conclude the night with a full concert.

THE VENUE

The Warren Performing Arts Center is 116,000 square foot creative, technical, rehearsal and performance space ideal for any music, dance or theatrical event with seating for 1000 and state of the art lights and sound.  Located on the campus of Warren Central High School, this facility hosts numerous scholastic, community and professional events each year.

VIDEO SUBMISSIONS FOR PERFORMANCE

All performance opportunities will be awarded via video submission and evaluation

  • Videos may be uploaded to YouTube (unlisted video preferred) - no files for download will be accepted

  • Video must show your group singing one complete song with this year’s group - this should be a song you will perform, if selected

  • Videos links are due by November 20, 2024

  • Submit videos via this Google Form: Indy A Cappella Festival Video Submissions

  • Results will be announced no later than December 9, 2024

FRIDAY NIGHT ACADEMIC SHOWCASE

  • Selected groups must be on-site by 3pm, Friday, January 17, 2025 for sound check

SATURDAY MAIN STAGE

  • Selected groups will be assigned soundchecks to coordinate with their daily schedule

REGISTRATION

  • Once registered, you will receive an invoice from our treasurer

  • We accept checks and purchase orders from school districts.

  • We anticipate a large number of groups/ schools to register. So register quickly.  Any schools who cannot get in immediately will be put on a waiting list in case of cancellations.
